You probably know what Snapchat is. If you don’t, it’s a social media and picture sharing app with privacy in mind: you can only view a picture for seconds at a time – and then it’s gone forever. People find this fun and it opens up a crazy side of people – snapping random pics and sending them off to their friends. Personally, I love it.
Phantom for Snapchat, a jailbreak tweak from Cydia, really beefs up Snapchat with everything from uploading pictures to bypassing limits and saving images.
Uploading
Phantom lets you upload any image or video from your library. What’s more, it lets you edit it with a full-featured photo editor by Aviary, built into Phantom.
Unlimited viewing and image saving
Phantom also lets you, importantly, view any image for an unlimited amount of time – marking read when you see fit. You can also save an image with one tap.
The arrow button in the bottom right saves the image, the arrow in the bottom left dismisses it, and the eyeball marks the image as read.
Custom captions
You can set the font, color, and background of captions. You can also have multiple lines – the Done button is replaced with a Return one. Just tap off the keyboard to dismiss it.
